8 lessons for online video social media marketing success

jan 16 10

# Pump out content consistently: “Pump out content – if you don’t produce something every day you’ll be out hustled." Be consistent in producing content and recording multiple video blogs every week. Creating content regularly builds trust and dependability and gives readers a reason to subscribe and check back often and follow you.
# Relentlessly promote: It should be a direct reflection of your high-energy, passion and sincerity
# Learn how to use online video: Immerse Yourself in The Online Video Platforms, . Use social media, blogs, Twitter, social networks — anything that invites users and keeps them active.
# Have patience: Building a business, a brand is not a sprint it is a marathon, its not about building a landing page and making millions.
# Work hard: 15 hour days If you really want it, 7 o’clock at night, to 2 in the morning is plenty of time to do damage after you have finished your day job.
# Marketing is about the 2 C’s, content and community. Don’t forget about that second C – Community – and think of your audience as human beings, not nameless, faceless potential for ROI
# Social media are just tools to help you engage with your community. They don’t make the difference, you make the difference. Use the tools to interact with your community. Word of mouth is incredible for building your brand, and social media amplifies your WOM reach.
# Show you care: Big corporations “don’t get it” because they don’t care about their company. But be glad the mainstream “doesn’t get it” because this is your opportunity to get ahead of the game. Build your equity, build your brand, before they get here.

Other options to traffic

SEO-A cut throat guessing game of what is believed to work and when google changes there algorithm . You could take A chance at getting ripped off hiring an expert for SEO. Many ideas that make up SEO are some of the top 10 ways to the most effective marketing tactics.

Buying traffic from google- there impossible to do business with because there full of them self, arrogant, 2 faced between the public eye and the business side,

Manual labor traffic- web2.0, blogging, PR, articles, etc. Personaly my favorite because there less dependent on other people and businesses that are full of them self or are scams. but they are also a lot of consistent work and time to maintain

Traffic exchange- No one on these sites are there to buy. Time consuming. The best way to do this is through social networking the forums and throw in your blog for personal branding. Sync other exchange accounts together and buy there membership from all of them.

Facebook ads

Facebook ads use to be A waste of money but now I've noticed they've gotten better, also with google being impossible to work with not to mention the google slaps that've been given out to my niche I've been looking for new traffic ideas. So here are some marketing flaws and advantages.

* cons: 1 Less competition 2 Better targeting due to profiles 3 Cost less Before starting facebook ads you will need to know what they want or you may get your account closed. Reason being you need to know Permission marketing. Not knowing permission marketing could cost a lot of money and get you banned.

*pros: When your competition trys and fails because that dont understand permission marketing that wont come back. knowing about this learning curve is an advantage. statistics say the competition on facebook is 1/20 of google.

experience

I don't want to give everything I've learned up front but here are somethings I strongly recommend If you are just starting MLM.

1 when i first started out I was not sure what to make my content about now I learned the best is to take anything I'm may be reading make A way to go back to it later and use it for videos, press releases, blogs, and articles with it.

2 For any one starting out I've heard It's good to make your lead capture page useing A blog because blogs are easier and rank high in the search engines. But when you use A blog A customer will also be able to tell and most may thing you to be unprofessional. Using A blog still may be useful if you are new or can work around that flaw with quality work. This isn't something I've done because to be A professional making A real lead capture page is something I'm going to have to learn.

3 The 80/20 rule states 20% of websites do 80% of the work. So for social bookmarking focus on digg; for social networking focus on facebook; for videos focus on youtube; PPC focus on google; blogging focus on wordpress; for articles focus on ezinearticles; affiliates focus on clickbank; in press releases prweb but they are pricey.

4 Any one who bot A drill didn't want A drill, they wanted A hole. It means dont advertise about the product advertise how it can benefit the customer.

Advantages of page rank

Having a good page rank has many advantages for your blog or site, not only providing organic traffic from search engines like Google or Yahoo, but also is good for your blogs reputation.

I’ve read about sites that page rank shows there popularity in the eyes of search engines, but when working on page ranking remember search engines are looking for honest, useful content, and how important are you as a blogger. Then when you are appreciated by your community and as a blogger your PR will rank naturally.

Each webmaster or blogger have his own opinion about page rank or how to get a higher page rank, for each person it’s different from others so we can’t have the same opinions.

Google will index your site more frequently.

The higher your page rank, the more frequently Google’s spider will visit your site to index your content. Google likes sites that are frequently updated and are very well optimized so having a good page rank means, in the most cases, that your blog is an active. A higher PR helps your fresh content to be shown faster in the search engines and indexed faster. Not only that, if you are a webmaster who has other new websites that linked to your own high PR website, it will help your new websites been crawled by Google bots more often and improved the new websites in search engine results.

People purchase ads based on a site’s Page Rank.

If you sell advertising on your site in the form of text links, banners or content links, the price will be largely influenced by your PR. When you are selling an text link on your blog, visits matter much less than your page rank. When you have a blog with PR 5,you can sell text links even with 20$/month, depends on the niche of your blog.

A high Page Rank makes you look like your site is an expert.

You will always see in forums and blogs about people saying things like "How can a seo expert’s blog have a PR0?” or “That site is only PR0”. A higher Page Rank is considered evidence of good promotion of your blog through other blogs or sites.

Sometimes, people expect a certain standard from expert sources. To them high Page Rank means that you know what you do.This is not always true but it is a perception you will just have to follow. You can be an expert and not have a good page rank.

I have screen capturing software, i have 2 things planed for that. I have 2 planed out of me talking i haven't done yet, i should do soon if i find the time.

I always thoutht i could just start talking with the camure on but it's a little harder then that. I don't get far if i don't plan it and study it, just doesn't feel natural talking to a camera.

My drive

I'm watching IFC monty python is on now. There not as good as they used to be. I'm not watching it for long. I've never seen this show before tho. I ate at buffalo wild wings today. I found it driving around randomly. Driving is a little hobby for me. So I stopped to eat. I think I was there for more than an hour, they gave me so much. I had chilli fries, A bacon cheese burger, and 2 beer.

The waitress had some curves on her. We talked for a second but then she had to go back to work. There were high school football jerseys on the wall one was #85 from my high school I told her it was Derek Page and talked about how he plays.

She says I don't talk much, alot of people say that and some say I'm shy for some reason. I don't even notice. I don't think its a problem, I'm not shy, I just don't have much to say. I talk when ever I feel like it. I'm kind of go with the flow not censerned about much, including if someone things I'm quiet. Anyway I think alot of people talk to much usely to impress people to hard, "why care if A bunch of people like you"."I just went to get A soda and notice I'm talking alot about myself so now I think I'll make this is own paragraph." Alot of people who get to know me say I'm cool, not censerned about what people think and I think i'm alot more reliable than most. I see It as common sense to me.

This monty python show isn't so bad. I never thought much of it.

My 8 vloging tips

1 Blog about your passion: Focus on what you love to do. Find your passion and start blogging about it. By doing what you love, you will be more dedicated, genuine and have more enthusiasm. Your readers and viewers will notice this. Publishing great content will be easier. Sharing your knowledge and experience will be easier. Making the content unique, interesting and useful to your target group will be easier.

2 Put your face in front of people: Answering emails and comments on your blog will help.

3 Don’t be a faceless corporation: Show your face, show your personality. Make it easy for your audience to reach you. Have a Twitter account. Listen to what your readers say. Interact with your audience. Show your appreciation by answering comments, e-mails, and tweets.

4 Spread the word: “Content is king but marketing is queen and the queen runs the household”Many bloggers just publish a post and wait for visitors and subscribers to just come along. That is too passive. You can’t sit around waiting for people to find your blog, you need to find them, help them out, show them the value you create and win them over.

5 Be different and eccentric: Do not be afraid to be seen as different, or even eccentric. Being different or eccentric in the crowded world of blogs is the strength. don’t censor yourself, making you authentic and inspirational to follow.

6 Create a dedicated tribe following you: peaking peoples interest will peak more peoples interest.

7 Be part of the conversation and connect and listen to your audience: You are a part of the dialog and you are making your customers part of a greater community. You build fans one by one. You show that you care, you give your customers someone they can trust and you be a leader.

8 Go where competitors don’t go: The professionals leave out a lot of potential prospects looking for the most targeted niche. There to old school to see video, blogging or social media can get other niches excited about another. And of course you will stand out.

blog: new wave on media

The continuing development of the power blogger within different industry sectors, niches and micro niches is another demonstration of the Web’s power to continue to influence and change the “Information Age’s” landscape.

The bloggers new found ability to spread their content through social media in recent times with great effect and leverage is raising some interesting scenarios especially with Rupert Murdoch’s News about to start to charge people for news and content on his newspapers and magazines worldwide

Cnet News in a 2005 article had this to say “Will bloggers upend the mainstream media? What legal protections should bloggers have? Is there a blogger business model? While no definitive answers exist just yet, experts at Wharton advise questioners to be patient. Blogging, they note, will be around for a long time”.

A Wharton legal studies professor Dan Hunter puts blogging right up there with the printing press when it comes to sharing ideas and disseminating information. He said “This is not a fad, It’s the rise of amateur content, which is replacing the centralized, controlled content done by professionals.”

Another Wharton legal studies professor Kevin Werbach also says “At its most basic level, it’s a technology that is lowering the cost of publishing” and turning out to be “the next extension of the Web,” says . “Blogging is still in its early days. It’s analogous to where the Web was in 1995 and 1996. It’s not clear how it will turn out.”

What is clear is that opportunities for blogging abound.

* Companies can use bloggers to put a more human face on interactions between employees and customers
* Marketers can create buzz through blogs
* Bloggers can act as fact checkers for the mainstream media.

There are dozens of applications for blogs, Werbach notes, and many that haven’t even been conceived yet. To be sure, the concepts behind blogging aren’t exactly new.
Some of the subscriber counts of these blogs is in the millions such as Huffington Post and TechCrunch.

My inspiration

My inspiration when I'm doing my marketing is a city near the beach. I think of the feeling of freedom both of the city and of internet marketing. It feels good to think about and is a goal worth working for.

I think of the night life, social networking about my times with friends and posting pictures; being friends with other famous marketers in my niche; driving in my car talking to my girlfriend about how great this marketing is for me and the freedom and simplicity it brings; taking advantage of what the city has to offer; meeting new people some from around the world; I want to learn a new language; travel;doing business by my blackberry; and be an expert marketer.

Its the world i imagine for my self i know for a fact there are people how live like this. I think its a goal worth working for. That will be me some day.

UPDATE:Jan 24 2010 I cant remember much but i had a dream last night i was driving a expensive car. I didn't see my current car. It would take a lot for me to give up my stealth. I was living in a expensive house. My dad wasn't there but my sister and mom was. And something about a cookie with a hamburger filling? weird

My census test

I took the census test today: its a gov job were you have to basically ask people questions involving there residential status. Its a part time job with good pay and I thought it would be interesting.I prefer to be busy then bored and i can make my own hours, that sounds good. I heard about the job from careerbuilder.com, they wont stop sending me emails.

I got there 30 minutes early because i got tired of waiting. I was the first one there and i took a practice test while i waited. There were 3 other people there taking it. The test was pretty easy, basicly math, reading, and organizing skills. 2 guys ahead of me failed i passed the 4th guy got his score after me so i don't know his score.

I'm feeling pretty good about the test. I wonder how good this will look on a resume.

First they came for the resident aliens, but I was not a resident alien...

I'm writing this post to bring attention to something that most likely won't get much press and that I feel is a great threat to American ideals of justice and liberty. I'm talking about S. 3930. It's all pretty awful, redefining torture and enemy combatants to be sufficiently vague as to be meaningless (but hey, natural-born citizens aren't effected, so most people won't care I suppose). Of particular importance are sections 6 and 7, which not only effectively override the Geneva Convention, but weakens the writ of habeas corpus (a fundamental judicial right which has been central to all democracies since the Magna Carta in 1215). Let's first deal with the Geneva Convention. Note this from Article VI of the constitution:

This Constitution, and the Laws of the United States which shall be made in Pursuance thereof; and all Treaties made, or which shall be made, under the Authority of the United States, shall be the supreme Law of the Land; and the Judges in every State shall be bound thereby, any Thing in the Constitution or Laws of any State to the Contrary notwithstanding.

The Senators and Representatives before mentioned, and the Members of the several State Legislatures, and all executive and judicial Officers, both of the United States and of the several States, shall be bound by Oath or Affirmation, to support this Constitution; ...

Unambiguously the constitution says that not only the constitution itself but also all treaties the US has made are the "the supreme law of the land."

Now, regarding the second aspect, the writ of habeas corpus. For those who aren't familiar, the writ of habeas corpus is a judicial mandate that provides those who are being imprisoned (or detained, the current newspeak euphemism) that requests that their case be reviewed by a judicial body. In practice, the writ of habeas corpus prevents abuses of the executive power, such as, say, indefinitely imprisoning a person without actually bringing any charges on the person. Section 9 of Article I of the constitution states:

The privilege of the Writ of Habeas Corpus shall not be suspended, unless when in Cases of Rebellion or Invasion the public Safety may require it.

No Bill of Attainder or ex post facto Law shall be passed.

Now, some might argue that the current threat of terrorism constitutions a sufficient "invasion of the public safety" to have it suspended in specific cases. However, the issue came up after 9/11 during the discussions about the PATRIOT act, and it was universally agreed that removing or restricting this right was not demanded from the circumstances. What has changed in the five years since that has changed this? Well, I'll get to that. Oh, and on a side note, changing the rules about evidence derived from torture being inadmissible, that's ex post facto, and unconstitutional even under the limited version that's been established through jurisprudence in Calder v Bull (3 US 386 [1798]) (cliff's notes version).

The democrats (though it was a bipartisan bill, onlyfour people voted against party lines) tried to amend this awful bill with the Specter-Leahy-Dodd Amendment To Strike Section 7 (I can't find the text for the amendment at the moment, it doesn't seem to be uploaded anywhere on any senate cites). Unfortunately, the GOP voting block prevented any such thing.

Now, I'm sure some of you might be saying "well it doesn't matter, clearly this bill is unconstitutional, the Supreme Court, as conservative as it is, would certainly strike it down" - and in principle, you are right, it most certainly would... if it ever got there in the first place.

But in order to have a case seen before the Supreme Court, it has to be a case, a specific instance of the bill being used, which goes through the judicial system and eventually gets appealed up to the highest court in the land. And therein lies the problem. By the very nature of this bill, those who would be malaffected by it have absolutely no access to the judicial system. It is inherently impossible for such a case to reach the supreme court, since it will never reach any court in the first place. It's a catch-22.

To illustrate, let's take a likely example. A law-abiding resident alien from an Islamic country is involved in their local mosque. They raise money, selectively, for various humanitarian causes. Well, it turns out that one of those non-profits was channeling money to terrorists. And to make things worse, this person is two or three degrees of seperation away from a person who has been affiliated with a terrorist organization. This person can be held, against their will, indefinitely, without any recourse or charges brought against them. It doesn't matter if the evidence is circumstantial, or the person just happens to share a name with a suspected terrorist, or if there is in fact no evidence at all, since there is no oversight. Whatsoever. Sen. Patrick Leahy made a well spoken plea on the senate floor which has many of the same arguments as I'm presenting, though for republicans it pretty much fell on deaf ears.

So returning to why, five years after the September 11th attacks, congress has changed its collective (read: republican) mind about habeas corpus suspension? Well, it's quite simple. Bush and his administration caught a few terrorists, and as enemy combatants, under the PATRIOT act, he was within his rights to detain these people in a manner which differs from that of a nationalized citizen, for example. However, most of the evidence was obtained through torture. In US courts, this evidence is inadmissible, and wouldn't it be awfully bad press if a bunch of terrorists got off due to a "legal technicality." Hence the retroactive admissibility of evidence obtained through coercion in S. 3930 (note: a law that changes the rules of trial and evidence is considered an unconstitutional ex post facto law, by current legal interpretations), the kangaroo courts set up by the law - all for political reasons. The unprecedented cost to the United States' standing as a free and just nation, as well as our perception in the world of opinion, will no doubt be disgraceful, and it will mark a magnificent victory for terrorism. The bill has yet to be voted on, but based on the votes for the amendment, I have little hope that the Senate will reject the bill. Still, if you live in a red state, please call your senator and let them know your opinion.

Sorry for the lengthy post, but this is something about which I feel strongly.

Update 28 Sept. 2006, 11:45 PM: Both NJ senators Lautenberg and Menendez voted in favor of the bill, which depresses me greatly. Of course, those who voted against it (and there was no chance that it would be shot down) are probably going to get painted in the press as wanting to let the terrorists get off on a "legal technicality." So it's hard to blame them, especially since the electorate doesn't really care about these issues. "I don't care if they tap my phone lines, I'm not a criminal, I've got nothing to hide" (sorry I'm bitter).

"This post was borrowed from Frankie Dintino I like thought it was worth writing about".

jan/12/2009

Today it is jan/12/2009 and I've decided to start blogging. Today I've spent am hour listening to A webinar About traffic exchange and tools to keep up with it. It's called tetool box and startxchange, I'll be starting it soon but right now I have to work on my merchant account. I've looked for directory sites to submit my website to.
